Virginia (Ginny)'s Story
I currently live up in the forest of the high Sierras in Grass Valley, which I love. I have 6 children ~ 5 boys and one girl. Trevor Ty 44, Travis 43, Taitha 42, Kevin 40, Seth 30 & Shane 23. I've been a very busy girl raising them by myself. LOL. I love to sing, to dance, to read, to write poetry, to watch movies and documentaries, to play card and word games online, to get lost for hours watching youtube videos I very much love and enjoy the nature around me. I've lived back and forth between here and Thousand Oaks & Nubury Park for the past 18 years. I'm always drawn back here. I've lived here again since 2004. I live with Seth, and Taitha and her 3 kids live nearby. Shane and his girlfriend live here also. So I have family around me.
It turns out that I am Bipolar and have PTSD due to a very abusive childhood. I also have multiple personalities from those traumatic experiences, which makes life very tricky. How do you/I live life not knowing for sure what you/I have said or done and there is no way to track time since aspects of Self are constantly changing? I at one time had 23 different Selves. Now I'm down to several. I do not know how many I still have. It's a crazy way to live. I wrote a poem about it in my junior year at Simi High. I take meds to mediate my craziness (LOL) so I'm doing good. It's also been very hard on my children having a crazy woman for a mother. I wasn't diagnosed or treated until early in 1999. Did you know that Bipolarity runs in families? 3 of my kids are Bipolar too, as was my mother.
I am enjoying the Peace & Quietness of my life now that I don't have young children or teenagers under foot. I am happier now than I have ever been in this chaotic life that I have lived so far. I am tickled by being able to buy myself a berry pie or cheese cake and have the whole thing to myself :) I've lived in poverty raising my children my whole adult life.
It's amazing the places our lives take us. I've lived in California, New York, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona and Washington state.
My sense of Humor and the Absurd is what has kept me going. I love to laugh and have a gift for making others laugh and smile.
My life isn't easy, but my life is good. :) :) :)
